Hemal Shroff is an Associate Professor in the School of Health Systems Studies at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai, India. She has extensive experience in studying body image and disordered eating among adolescent girls, especially in cross-cultural settings. She has also written articles and chapters on the measurement of body image. Her main interests are in the sociocultural factors that impact body dissatisfaction and lead to eating disorders.
