"We were traveling from Malatya to Kayseri and stopped in Gurin for food and drink. I cannot just stop, I have to explore and, in talking with a person at the restaurant, he noted the church was literally 100 yards up the road from where we were. We were also shown the mosque near that church that I believe is mentioned in the Gurin book. The mosque and other buildings in the area have already been renovated which is why they want to do the Armenian church as well. Some of the caves immediately behind the church, fascinating stuff where some poor people still live."
