In the St. Lawrence Estuary, striped bass (Morone saxatilis) was extirpated by the mid-1960, due to cumulative effects of overfishing and habitat destruction. To restore the biodiversity, the Minister of Forest, Wildlife and Parks of Québec initiated a reintroduction program of the species and it is now recognised that the population self-reproduced during the last decade. To promote the re-establishment of this new population, this study aims to document the success of its recruitment. Therefore, I am working on environmental indicators that could predict the recruitment fluctuations of striped bass.
