Chaire d'enseignement et de recherche interethniques et interculturels
La chaire est une structure de recherche, d'enseignement, d'animation et de sensibilisation sur les problématiques ethniques et interculturelles. Elle veut contribuer à développer et à diffuser une expertise théorique et pratique sur les processus d'intégration et de cohabitation interethniques et interculturels au Québec, principalement dans les milieux autres que métropolitains et, plus spécifiquement, dans la région du Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. Trois types de préoccupation orientent les travaux de la chaire: les effets du milieu d'accueil sur l'intégration et la cohabitation multiculturelle, les particularités des genres de vie ethnique en région et les formes que prend et que pourrait prendre la contribution du multiculturalisme au développement régional.

Research Chair of Education and of Interethnic and Intercultural Research
This chair is a research center for education, animation and of sensitisation on ethnic and intercultural problems. Its goal is to contribute in the development and diffusion of theoretical expertise and practices on the integration process and interethnic and intercultural cohabitation in Quebec, mainly in areas other than metropolitan and, more specifically, in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean area. The research is focused on three specific interests: the effects of the welcoming environment on the integration and multicultural cohabitation, the particularities of ethnic lifestyles in regions and the orientation taken and could be taken by the contribution of multiculturalism to regional development.
