Que vous ayez adhéré pleinement à ce mouvement ou que vous soyez réticents face à ce changement de paradigme dans le monde de l’édition scientifique, venez en discuter entre collègues lors du midi-causerie organisé conjointement par le Vice-rectorat à l’enseignement, à la recherche et à la création et le service de la Bibliothèque.

Veuillez prendre note que le colloque Explorer le social : au passé et au présent, du biologique au symbolique, proposé par le Centre interuniversitaire d’études québécoises et ses partenaires en l’honneur des travaux du professeur Gérard Bouchard aura lieu à la bibliothèque les 28 et 29 septembre. Pour l’occasion, les tables situées au premier étage (côté droit) seront déplacées dans la journée du 27 septembre.

Mise en garde – Sollicitation par les Éditions Universitaires Européennes et les Presses Académiques Francophones

Des étudiants de l’Université du Québec à Chicoutimi ont récemment été sollicités par les Éditions Universitaires Européennes et les Presses Académiques Francophones, via un courriel flatteur et personnalisé, afin de publier en ligne leur mémoire ou leur thèse gratuitement.

Soyez prudent si vous recevez un courriel de ces maisons d’édition. Sans être totalement frauduleuses, leurs pratiques sont pour le moins douteuses et contestables. Sachez qu’au moment où vous cédez vos droits d’auteur lors de la signature de l’entente avec l’éditeur, il est par la suite difficile, voire parfois impossible, de les recouvrer. Autre piège à surveiller: l’éditeur peut exiger que soit retiré du dépôt institutionnel, Constellation, votre thèse ou votre mémoire.
