Ce nouveau concept, tout en assurant la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du public, met l&rsquo;accent sur la cr\u00e9ation de syst\u00e8mes qui permettront de r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement les dommages \u00e0 la structure principale du b\u00e2timent, la rendant r\u00e9utilisable et r\u00e9parable apr\u00e8s un \u00e9v\u00e9nement majeur. L\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat de se diriger vers une telle philosophie vient des \u00e9normes pertes \u00e9conomiques engendr\u00e9es par la reconstruction des villes ayant subi d\u2019importantes secousses sismiques comme Christchurch en Nouvelle-Z\u00e9lande.
