Le contexte de pratique en industrie implique d\u00e9sormais des mod\u00e8les de production de plus en plus rationalis\u00e9s et rigides posant plusieurs d\u00e9fis et inconforts chez les artistes. Au fil des ann\u00e9es, le probl\u00e8me ressenti dans l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de travail du praticien renvoie \u00e0 une fatigue esth\u00e9tique \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard des t\u00e2ches \u00e0 accomplir, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire \u00e0 un d\u00e9sint\u00e9ressement, d\u00e9senchantement, une perte de plaisir dans l\u2019acte de cr\u00e9ation, contrairement \u00e0 la vive passion qui l\u2019animait le d\u00e9but de sa carri\u00e8re. La pratique en industrie n\u2019apporte pas d\u2019opportunit\u00e9s suffisamment int\u00e9ressantes au praticien artiste \u00e0 poursuivre son d\u00e9veloppement et sa qu\u00eate de sens ; trop peu de place \u00e0 l\u2019exploration, \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte, \u00e0 la surprise, mais au contraire, sa conduite devient r\u00e9gl\u00e9e et soumise aux r\u00e9glages et proc\u00e9dures impos\u00e9es par le choix des studios pour l\u2019emploi des technologies num\u00e9riques. D\u00e9coulant ainsi des structures de travail o\u00f9 s\u2019exerce notre pratique professionnelle, ce malaise serait id\u00e9alement surmontable en revisitant les techniques traditionnelles de cr\u00e9ation des effets visuels. Le projet de cr\u00e9ation va aller en ce sens en visant ultimement \u00e0 nous permettre de retrouver le plaisir de cr\u00e9er des effets visuels. Ce projet va consister en des exp\u00e9rimentations personnalis\u00e9es d\u2019effets sp\u00e9ciaux bas\u00e9s sur des techniques traditionnelles de m\u00e9canique des fluides. Au moyen du cadre th\u00e9orique de la pratique r\u00e9flexive de Sch\u00f6n (1994), l\u2019objectif de cette recherche vise \u00e0 d\u00e9gager une nouvelle signification \u00e0 la pratique d\u2019artiste d\u2019effets visuels. Le projet de cr\u00e9ation ainsi prend la forme de processus d\u2019enqu\u00eate et d\u2019analyses r\u00e9flexives et interpr\u00e9tatives, pour conduire \u00e0 des sens nouveaux. L\u2019analyse des r\u00e9sultats r\u00e9v\u00e8le que des conditions satisfaisantes particuli\u00e8res deviennent n\u00e9cessaires pour trouver et retrouver le plaisir de cr\u00e9er. Tout d\u2019abord, la premi\u00e8re condition est que le praticien doit pouvoir faire des d\u00e9couvertes, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire qu\u2019il doit pouvoir constater et \u00e9valuer un contenu \u00e9mergent et impr\u00e9vu dans sa cr\u00e9ation. Or, les techniques traditionnelles ont permis de telles d\u00e9couvertes fortuites. Alors qu\u2019elles pr\u00e9sentent des limites en termes de capacit\u00e9, les techniques traditionnelles requi\u00e8rent une grande part de cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 et d\u2019adaptation chez l\u2019artiste. Paradoxalement, les composantes alors imagin\u00e9es d\u00e9montrent une grande diversit\u00e9, originalit\u00e9 et efficacit\u00e9. \u00c0 l\u2019inverse, les techniques sous-jacentes aux m\u00e9diums num\u00e9riques (p. ex. logiciels applicatifs), dans le contexte de production rationalis\u00e9e, deviennent des instruments de standardisation des mani\u00e8res de faire. La seconde condition, laquelle s\u2019\u00e9tant clarifi\u00e9e a posteriori de l\u2019activit\u00e9 de cr\u00e9ation, implique que l\u2019artiste puisse b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019un espace pour son expression personnelle dans la production d\u2019une oeuvre. Le travail de recherche conclut sur la pertinence d\u2019offrir ces conditions n\u00e9cessaires dans la pratique artistique en industrie. Il soul\u00e8ve certains enjeux concernant le d\u00e9veloppement et l\u2019\u00e9panouissement des praticiens, en lan\u00e7ant l\u2019invitation \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper la r\u00e9flexivit\u00e9 dans la pratique.
