Bien que les huiles isolantes \u00e0 base de p\u00e9trole soient utilis\u00e9es dans ces \u00e9quipements depuis plusieurs d\u00e9cennies, les r\u00e9centes pr\u00e9occupations environnementales, les consid\u00e9rations de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et divers facteurs techniques ont stimul\u00e9 l\u2019utilisation de liquides alternatifs et biod\u00e9gradables. Cet ouvrage, comprenant 11 chapitres \u00e9crits par des experts reconnus mondialement, sous la houlette du comit\u00e9 technique de l\u2019IEEE sur les di\u00e9lectriques liquides, est une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence et un guide \u00e0 jour sur les liquides isolants biod\u00e9gradables \u00e0 base d&rsquo;esters naturels et synth\u00e9tiques. Il couvre le sujet de mani\u00e8re exhaustive et est destin\u00e9 avant tout aux dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s, aux chercheurs et ing\u00e9nieurs concepteurs ou en charge des transformateurs souhaitant approfondir leurs connaissances sur les avantages, les d\u00e9fis et l&rsquo;application des esters.<\/p>\n<p>Il est important de souligner que le professeur Fofana et le Dr Ungarala sont respectivement pr\u00e9sident et secr\u00e9taire du <a href=\"https:\/\/ieeedeis.org\/technical-activities\/liquid-dielectrics-technical-committee\/\">comit\u00e9 technique de l\u2019IEEE sur les di\u00e9lectriques liquides<\/a>,\u00a0qui regroupe des experts mondiaux dans ce domaine.
