The Regional Sales Manager - Rimouski will be responsible for directing and motivating his dealerships in the province of Quebec - Rimouski region.
In conjunction with the Regional Manager and Regional Marketing Manager, the Regional Sales Manager will deploy initiatives aimed at achieving retail sales and market share, improving revenue, in addition to establishing a strong partnership with dealers driving sales performance and improving the customer experience.
This position also supports and guides regional marketing plans and strategies in the Quebec region and assists in finding opportunities and developing plans to increase retail sales, market share and revenue.
The successful candidate will focus and be measured on the following 4 key areas:
Drive retail sales and market share performance
Drive Order Coverage
Drive convenience revenue performance: Accessory sales revenue, OnStar, GMPP, GM Card
Improve customer satisfaction and the retail experience
Main responsibilities:
Sales and stock performance
Achieve retail sales and share goals for the district
Develop plans and strategies to increase order coverage to drive retail vehicle sales
Lead and empower the dealership team through consensus cycles and order calls
Drive an effective forecasting process at dealership level
Implement strategies to generate forecasts and orders to capitalize on vehicle line-up opportunities to improve market share Identify sales opportunities and
gaps in Quebec to develop plans in collaboration with the Regional Marketing Manager through analysis of sales, inventory and data sharing to increase performance
Establish and develop leading advocates for electric vehicle dealerships in the Quebec market
Perform monthly analysis of sales performance and identify areas for improvement and implement dealer action plans
Ensure that GM's competitive position and opportunities are effectively communicated to dealers
Stimulate the improvement of market shares of underperforming dealers (DRER targeted dealers)
Establish robust processes for dealers to ensure they take advantage of sales opportunities and leverage GM tools, reports and initiatives:
Dealer Direct and DealDriver Pro
Dealer Website / Digital Package
Inventory Balancing Tool
Business development culture and practices
Dealer Financial Reports
GM Financial tools – retail leasing, quasi-prime, etc.
Sales and Product Training Plus
Recognition programs – President's Club/SMG programs, etc.
Adjacency performance
Drive accessory revenue performance with strong initial ordering (LPO) as well as effective implementation of showroom sales and merchandising (ACO) strategy
Boost OnStar activations with online registration and welcome call
Supports GM Protection Plan (GMPP) and GM Card activations
Promote the penetration of GM Financial Leasing
Improve customer satisfaction and the retail experience
Build a culture of customer centricity within dealerships and ensure processes and procedures are in place to support customers and strengthen advocacy
Promote the improvement of the retail digital customer experience and the implementation of retail innovations that support the improvement of the retail experience
Boost CSI performance and improve negative impact dealer performance
Handle customer complaint issues appropriately and help resolve them with a “win-win” orientation
Qualifications:
A strong desire to win and continually drive results and improvements
Understanding of GM distribution processes
Understanding of GM field sales tools and reports
Ability to effectively prioritize work and effectively manage a heavy workload
High level of decision making and judgment
Ability to effectively manage stress
Willingness to work extended hours on occasion if required (eg month end)
Education and formation:
Post-secondary education is required
Perfectly bilingual in French and English (written and spoken)
Successful candidates will be required to certify and be prepared to provide proof of their vaccination status and that any offer of employment will be conditional on the candidate being fully vaccinated.
