Considering the brief discussion of ice formation process and its catastrophic impacts on many areas, it is important to extend the knowledge about freezing of water droplets impinged on a solid surface that is the first focus of this research work. Additionally, based on analyzing of freezing of water droplets with the solid surface, other part of our study is to investigate of how the surface characteristics including the surface wettability, surface topography, liquid droplet properties and also environmental conditions affect ice nucleation and ice adhesion process. Consequently, exploring of these associated parameters would be a significant step to design an icephobic surface.
