The overall objective of the proposed research project is to study the impacts of renewable energy on hybrid power systems. This research will integrate subsystem level models of small wind turbines, solar photovoltaic cells, batteries, and generators to develop new dynamic models of hybrid power systems. This research aims to find innovative and cost-effective solutions in renewable energy and storage systems.
The results of the proposed research will help to systematically build new knowledge on hybrid power systems, their design, protection, etc., and prepare Canada for their large-scale use.
