
UQAC plays a leading role and acts as a true leader in sustainable development through its mission of teaching, research and creation, and service to communities.
As part of its commitment to sustainable development, UQAC has offset the greenhouse gas emissions generated by the travel of individuals attending the 2026 National Forum on Truth and Reconciliation. Through its carbon offset program and the Carbone boréal research infrastructure, 48.8 metric tons of CO2 were offset for the event through the planting of 448 trees.
