A strong commitment to truth and reconciliation

Supporting the 2026 National Building Reconciliation Forum is a concrete step toward building bridges between peoples and transforming Canada’s higher education landscape for the long term.

For the past decade, Universities Canada has been leading this forum to bring universities and Indigenous communities together around a common goal of reflection, dialogue, and action for real and lasting reconciliation. In hosting this anniversary edition, UQAC seeks to make this pivotal moment part of the continuity of the work that has been done across the country and to highlight the partnerships created across the region. For three days, Forum 2026 will bring together members of Indigenous nations, representatives of Canadian universities, researchers, students, and many partners engaged in transforming practices and knowledge.

Your support will help make this forum a meaningful opportunity for dialogue, recognition, and action, while helping to advance reconciliation within higher education institutions and Canadian society.
