Marie-Andrée Gill – Animatrice
Marie-Andrée Gill is Pekuakamishkueu (an Ilnu from Lac‑Saint‑Jean, Mashteuiatsh community). A writer, poet, and host of decolonizing podcasts (Laissez-nous raconter: l’histoire crochie, Les mots de Joséphine), she is also a PhD student in literature at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. Her master’s thesis focused on decolonization through intimate writing and relationships to land. She advocates for environmental and Indigenous rights, notably by organizing writing residencies in the tundra. Actively involved in literary circles, she contributes to journals, events, talks, and international exchanges. Her work explores intimacy and connections to the natural world as paths to healing, weaving together Québécois and Ilnu identities.
